Many of you have missed Sunday breakfast brunch at Hotel Camino Real here in Antigua. Well we have some great news. Sunday Brunch has now returned to Camino Real Antigua Guatemala every Sunday!
Your health and the health of the staff is taken extremely seriously
It is now an “Assisted Sunday Brunch”, General Manager Abel Murga explained to me. With no less than twelve various food stations served by fourteen individual chefs behind glass screens over the food your health and the health of the staff is taken extremely seriously. Before being seated your temperature is taken, hands sanitized. as well as your seat and table. While seated you do not need to wear a mask. However once standing, including walking to the buffet or washroom, masks are compulsory. Only 50% of the restaurant’s capacity will be open with a maximum of six people seated per table inside and up to ten people per table seated in the outdoor areas. All drinks will be served to you directly to your table. Unfortunately, due to restrictions, reservations cannot be taken but good news for us parents, children are very welcome!
Head chef Walter Martinez is busy preparing for Sunday’s launch. Always smiling he shows me around the assisted food stations pointing to where each dish will be placed. From the various breads including bagels to the famous egg station where you can personalize your omelettes and scrambled eggs. To the fresh fruit and healthy drinks, cereals and smoked salmon-so perfect for those bagels! Cheeses and jams; crepes and pancakes; comida tipica; tacos and sausages- Walter explains that there will be eight varied hot dishes and that every Sunday there will be specials.
Without a doubt, having listened to Walter has made me realise how much I have missed Sunday brunch at Hotel Camino Real-So happy it’s back!
