Having recently changed locations, The Snug is Antiguas only authentic bar. Well, it’s true to say that it’s Irish owned and operated and the Irish understand bars! As you walk into the new Snug, you still how it retains the intimacy and feel from before. However it’s a lot more spacious! At the back there’s a garden with tables and to the side a restaurant area.
Everybody is talking about the stunning roof terrace. It has awesome 360 degree views of Antigua with fantastic vistas of the Agua Volcano! The terrace is a brilliant place to meet with friends lounge around and have a sundowner or two!
The Menu at The Snug
The Snug brought in the restauranteur Lauren Gatley, French by birth who earned a Michelin Star in San Francisco to help create their menu and fine tune it. Irish but with a twist! Food is served all day from 8 AM right up to 10PM in the evening. For breakfast, The Snug offers a real traditional Irish fare including biscuits and gravy as well as a “Build your own breakfast”. For lunch or dinner, the Cesar Salad with a homemade dressing is really popular. Other options include steak and Guinness pie, a clam chowder and a steak sandwich with Jameson Irish Whiskey! Every Sunday, The Snug offers a traditional Sunday roast for only Q60. For those that just fancy a bar snack, the bar menu includes “Loaded Irish Nachos”. as well as “sticky chicken wings”:

The Snug sells most Jameson in the whole of Central America! Now that’s a sign of a true Irish Bar! Actually, The Snug has the largest selection of Irish Whiskey in the whole of Guatemala! All your favourite beers including Guinness are available plus spirits. Happy Hour is all day every day! Victoria and a shot of Tequila at Q24 and a Lone Star with a Jameson for Q28!
