About the Artist:
From a very young age, Lisset López was influenced by art. At first, what she most liked to do was drawings and cartoons. Later she began to express herself through visual language – something that caught her attention because she could express her feelings and perceptions of life through the use of different techniques.
Lisset has now been expressing herself through painting and sculpture for 16 years. She’s painted about 140 pictures in different styles (expressionism, surrealism, and abstract figurative) with different techniques (oil, acrylic, watercolor, and mixed media). At university she studied architecture and interior design, and combining those with her painting and design skills has resulted in impressive murals that also serve as décor focal points.
Her Work:
As part of her work as an artist, she has taught free art classes which have promoted not only the development of skills and the awakening of the sensitivity of the senses, but also creativity through art. Lisset has also given free workshops to children and young people from different organizations.
She has presented two paintings to the National Palace of Culture and has participated in several exhibitions including at El Sitio, the Capuchinas Convent, Casa Cervantes, the National Palace of Culture, and even as part of a group exhibition in California.
