The Beginning:

30 years ago, Greicy González del Pozo, mother of four small children, needed a business that would allow her support their home; this is how this entrepreneurial story comes about, with the effort and sacrifices of a woman, mother and businesswoman.

How did the idea for your business arise?

I was thinking about creating something that would fit into my life because a job with schedules for me was difficult. Talking with other people, I came up with the idea or party rentals and realized there was only one business that offered rentals here in town. I started with only 100 chairs, 10 tables and 10 tablecloths. I bought a truck with a wooden body and I drove it to make the deliveries.

How did you implement the catering service?

About 17 years ago, I decided to start offering food service. When I had already made myself known with the furniture, I met a lady who offered food service and she worked with a cook; but it did not go well and she had to close down the business. The cook came looking for me because he was out of a job and I thought I could do it, so I started also offering food.

What have been the biggest challenges you have faced to be where you are today?

It was a challenge to fight alone to get my family and my business ahead, it truly was hard enough, but thank God I was constant. There were days that I cried in bed because I had no help from anyone. I spent many sleepless nights, without rest, working at dawn and weekends. One my children grew, I was alone again, but the business was growing and I needed help; my son Francisco came back from the United States to help me and since then we have worked together.
