Tecpán has much to offer
Many tourists drive though Tecpan on their way to Lake Atitlan without stopping. It’s a shame as if you like the outdoors then Tecpan has much to offer including the Pre-Columbian Mesoamerica archaeological site of Iximche.
Finca San Ricardo
A great place to stay is Finca San Ricardo. Formally, a historic family poultry and dairy farm to which the 5th generation Lembke family have lovingly converted into a rural hotel and restaurant. Their idea was to show country life to city slickers! Since then, Finca San Ricardo has become one of the most popular places to stay in Tecpan.
Getting out of your car, you immediately notice the freshness and cleanness of the air, the wonder of pine trees and hills. Many say that the Tecpan area has a Swiss feel!
