From a minor sports injury, a sprain or something more serious, Dr Alfredo Roca and his team at Physiotherapy Clinic Roca are pretty amazing. Being fully bilingual is a major plus for expats and visitors alike. Trying to explain torn ligaments in Spanish is no fun and actually can cause a misdiagnosis. More than that, if you have a chronic condition, the thing i like the most, is Dr Roca’s total positiveness and his continual belief in the patient.
‘The physiotherapy clinic Roca opened its doors on April 01, 2015, working on the realization of specialized treatments to rehabilitate different parts and tissues of the body. It is a bilingual clinic (English-Spanish), which is based on the biomechanical analysis of each lesion. We have a group of internationally certified specialists for several innovative techniques such as Vojta Therapy, Hydrokinesitherapy, KinesioTape, Dry Puncture. We have industrial machines of the highest quality standards used to increase muscle strength in movement. All treatments are performed using specific formulas for proper application (ultrasound, laser, electrotherapy). On Saturday there is also therapeutic massage, which is used by patients and athletes to muscularly discharge their body and revitalize their energy.’
I have to say after using a number of such clinics in both Antigua and Guatemala City that Dr Roca and his team are second to none and I cannot recommend them highly enough. This can be born out by the number of expats that I see there on a regular basis and their positive feedback.
The clinic has recently changed locations to a modern building a few minutes from Antigua at El Panorama Shopping Center, Local 12-A, Carretera a Ciudad Vieja La Antigua Guatemala.
