For more than 10 years, Antigua Canopy Tours has led the adventure market in La Antigua thanks to their zip-lining service which has been described as one of the musts during your visit to the city.
The adventure that begins when you arrive at Finca Filadelfia, where the Antigua Canopy Tours vehicles – all terrain trucks called UNIMOGS – take you to the area where you will be prepared and given everything you need to fly.
Zip-lining consists of a series of platforms that are connected by double lines of horizontal cables which will allow you to zip-line from one platform to the next. Antigua Canopy Tours provides two options: a circuit with 7 sections called “Forest” and a circuit that has only 2 sections called “Canyon”.
To start, the staff will provide you with the best equipment available (Petzl and PMI). They take safety very seriously, so be assured that their system meets all the international standards recommended by the ACCT. Their friendly and attentive guides – trained in specialized techniques – will also help you navigate through the different sections of the tour you chose.
While flying through the skies, ravines, and canyons, you might be able to spot some white-tailed deer and several species of birds that live in the area. If this is not enough, keep in mind you’ll also be able to take in spectacular views of the Agua, Fuego and Acatenango volcanoes.
