CIPECADI is a non-profit organisation distinguished as a refuge of love and opportunity for children and young people with a range of disabilities.
For 18 years, this institution has been dedicated to supporting those who need it most — families facing the financial challenge of affording therapies that can make the difference between development towards a better future or the despair and isolation of being unable to achieve it.
Among the disabilities supported are: Down Syndrome, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Learning Difficulties, Speech Disorders and Behavioural Challenges. To meet these needs, the centre offers a full range of professional services, including Psychology, Special Education, Speech Therapy, Physical Therapy, Sensory Therapy and the invaluable Equine Therapy. At the Jocotenango centre, we also have a Montessori classroom.
Behind every achievement is a group of benefactors whose generous financial support makes the continuation of this work possible,
as well as a team of therapists who, with dedication and care, ensure that each child can build a better life within their educational environment, as well as within their family, social and health contexts, and later in the workplace.
Our care centre is divided into two locations. The first is in Jocotenango, Sacatepéquez (1st Street and 3rd Avenue, House No. 4, Zone 3), where children receive therapies according to their needs. The second is a small farm in Rincón Grande, Parramos, Chimaltenango, where learning comes to life through connections between the children and farm animals (chickens and rabbits), vegetable gardens and outdoor play that provides stimulation — and, most importantly, Equine Therapy.
